From City Lights to Country Sides continues with its second episode, featuring Velina Gancheva — a young artist who chose to move to the village of Mindya and build a different kind of life closer to nature, creativity and community.

The series explores the stories of people who have left the rhythm of the city behind and decided to settle in rural Bulgaria. Through personal conversations, we look at what motivates young people to move to a village, how they adapt to the local environment, what kind of work and creative practices they develop, and how they imagine the future of rural life.

In this episode, Velina shares her experience of living in Mindya, her artistic path, and her connection to the local community. Besides her work as an artist, she is also involved in meditative practices with Tibetan singing bowls and has organized an exhibition in the village, bringing together art, personal expression and local cultural life.

Her story offers a sensitive perspective on the possibilities of village life in Bulgaria — not as a step backwards, but as a space for creativity, reflection, slower living and meaningful human connections.

From City Lights to Country Sides is an E-volution Media interview series dedicated to alternative lifestyles, rural communities, creative people and the changing relationship between young generations and life outside the big city.
