On 22 November at TaM Bar in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, there was no real social conflict. The venue hosted an art exhibition called “Images of Social Tension”, which explores different social behaviors and stress points in society.
The exhibition features 12 sculptural objects, each representing a different archetype of social tension. Visitors can also listen to a sound component for each piece, created to reflect its theme.
The project was developed by artist Iliya Toshkin with input from a psychodramatist, and is designed to provoke reflection and discussion about society, rather than depict real-life conflict.

As part of our coverage, we conducted an interview with one of the creators, who explained that the goal of the exhibition is to engage the public in thinking about social dynamics and collective behavior in a safe, artistic setting.
The event also included a conversation with the creators and was open to the public for free. It is part of TaM’s mission to combine art, culture, and social reflection in a community space.
