Easter in Bulgaria and Georgia- interview series

As the Bulgarian name implies “Velikden” (Great Day), Easter is one of the most significant holidays in the Bulgarian calendar.  In tune with worldwide Orthodox traditions, bright red colored eggs and Easter breads known as “kozunak” are the prominent symbols of Easter in Bulgaria.  Like in Bulgaria Easter in Georgia is the most important celebration of the year. Easter is a family celebration, where everyone gets together, spends these days at home, and pays respect with their dead relatives by going to the cemetery.
